For EOFY celebrations and long overdue catch up with friends, Chancery Lane’s Chandelier Room is a luxurious space within Scott Pickett’s charming European bistro. With decadent interiors by Bergman & Co. featuring antique brass and textured gold details, guests have exclusive use of this space with dedicated staff serving a menu of European classic dishes curated by Pickett and Head Chef Rob Kabboord, accompanied by an extensive collection of French and Australian wines selected by in-house Sommeliers Clint Fox and Hannah Day. Seating up to 10 guests, private parties will drink and dine underneath an incredible 19th Century French chandelier, hidden behind a red velvet curtain concealing the space from the main dining room.

Estelle

Scott Pickett’s neighbourhood icon Estelle offers two spaces in the stunning upstairs dining rooms — the Matilda Room (High Street facing) and the Harrison Room. The rooms are both recently renovated with a timeless, monochromatic colour palette. Downstairs, Estelle’s natural light and greenery-filled indoor courtyard are also available for private bookings. The washed brick wall and vertical garden lend themselves to a fantastic atmosphere and a brilliant natural environment. Pickett’s menu of contemporary Australian dishes utilising only the very best seasonal produce and ingredients is offered throughout the Northcote venue, alongside a 200 strong wine list predominantly featuring Australian drops.

Designed with events in mind, our expansive bar caters for corporate events, weddings, cocktail parties, intimate dinners or any other occasion worth celebrating. Longsong bar has several versatile spaces and seats up to 80 or caters for 250 standing guests. There are multiple areas of Longsong available;
- The Loft: The Loft is our private mezzanine dining space, nestled among hanging lanterns and overlooking the entire venue. This space is perfect for sit-down dinners for up to 36 guests. The Loft has private stair access and your own private bathroom.
- The Stalls: Our dining room is perfect for sit down events for up to 80 guests and stand up events for up to 150 guests.
- The Yard: With large concertina windows overlooking Little Bourke Street and nestled next to the main bar, The Yard is a light-filled space perfect for stand-up cocktail style events for up to 120 guests.
- The Whole Venue: Longsong is available for exclusive book outs for stand-up events of up to 250 people and sit down events for 80 people – perfect for birthday parties, engagement parties, weddings, and corporate events.

The Harrison Room and Oscar’s Room can either be combined or kept separate for more intimate celebrations. Offering a modern Australian menu that honours native ingredients while also incorporating live flames, warm coals and smoke from the gas-free kitchen, Matilda is ideal for corporate events, group dining, birthday parties, engagements, weddings and more.

Mr Joe now offers a one-of-a-kind private dining experience, with a fine-dining global-fusion set menu and wine pairing. The menu is designed to cater to a wide range of tastes and excuses to dine out as the neighbourhood restaurant Mr Joe, 362-364 Burnley St, rises in popularity as a go-to Richmond restaurant. Flowers, candles, and soft decorations will be used to customise the private dining experience to the needs of the customers. The private dining experience consists of three hours of leisurely eating, drinking, and socialising to enjoy the upscale, innovative culinary experience.

Moonhouse

Moonhouse, a Chinese-inspired bistro is another venue by Commune Group with its own Private Dining Room for any event or occasion. Perched above the main restaurant at the heritage-listed venue, sits Upstairs at Moonhouse – a private dining and event space with a private entrance, toilets and a fully equipped bar. Moonhouse offers a curated set menu of its best dishes and can cater to dietary requirements. This space seats up to 28 guests for a sit-down event.

Tokyo Tina - Tokyo Private

The new dining room Tokyo Private, which is located next to its sister restaurant Tokyo Tina, accommodates up to 28 diners and was designed by Commune Group's design team, Ewert Leaf, in the form of a luxurious Japanese train carriage from the 1970s. Revellers and sophisticated diners alike may make the dining area their own and enjoy the famous Tokyo Tina hospitality before getting their Karaoke on. The restoration included additional cooking space, allowing the Tokyo Tina chefs to be more flexible with their menu. The cuisine, which will change seasonally, is meant to be shared and will accommodate all dietary restrictions.
